'weekender'. The 27-hole layout lends itself to championship play, with
more simultaneous rounds possible. Which means less time taken to reach
the final rounds.
The Boschenmeer Golf and Country Estate with its David Frost signature
golf course, offers superb golfing. It is the only 27-hole golf course
in the Western province, and the first David Frost signature golf course
in South Africa.
Pro-golfer David Frost grew up in the Paarl/Franschhoek region and is an
integral part of the Paarl Golf Club, where he first played as a school
member. This top professional has brought his years of skill, knowledge
and international experience of playing various golf courses, and
incorporated his knowledge with the golf course design team to create
this stunning 27-hole venue that consists of the “Berg River Nine”
(1-9), the “Paarl Nine” (10-18), and the new “Boschenmeer Nine” (19-27).
The upgrade of the second nine holes has been completed, and together
with the new Boschenmeer Nine-holes, offers world-class beauty and
playability - to the extent that readers of Golf Today magazine voted
the fourth hole of the Boschenmeer Nine as the best in South Africa in
2002. Boschenmeer also offers a high-tech golf academy and driving
range, as well as a state-of-the-art club house. Other estate facilities
include a swimming pool, floodlit tennis courts, and playroom for
children.
